Coughs and Rolls

This past week was pretty rough. Besides the usual craziness that come with our life, my grandma (Nancy's mom) passed away Tuesday evening. The memorial service was amazing and it was great to see all the family. I know Grandma is in a great place and very happy- but its still an odd realization that she is no longer physically present on the earth.

Samuel has had a big week as well! He rolled over for the first time on Tuesday. I caught the second one on video. The first time I put him on his tummy to practice lifting his neck and head. Well he lifted it really high and then flipped over- a total surprise!!! So I grabbed my phone ( I love my Blackberry- or blueberry as my mother calls it) and got the second roll on video. Watch carefully all the way to the end of the video! (don't mind the fact that he has no bottoms on and the vibrating noise in the middle of the video- I was receiving a text)

Samuel also was/is sick for the first time in his life (all two and a half months). He has always had nasal congestion, since he was born. The doctor said it was normal and fine. But these past few days he has gotten a horrible little cough. You can hear the congestion in this nose and lungs when he coughs- it makes me sad. He has been able to rest and take lots of naps though so hopefully he will get better soon.

This weekend he will experience his first plane ride to KS to visit his Grandparents Nancy and Larry and his Uncle Chris!! We'll let you know how it goes!
