Almost February- Seriously!?

So I just looked back on our blog and the last time we wrote was August. And March before that. It seems like we are getting on a 6 month plan- Hopefully I can break it now! Even if they are short updates I would like to keep up and post pictures and stories from our life, especially of our quickly growing little boy!!!

This week has been SUPER busy for Curtis and I, but its been a really good busy. By the recommendation of one of my friends who has a 4 month old little girl - I read two books about babies (I don't know as much as I thought I did about babies- but more on that in another post). So this week I have been paying ALOT more attention to Samuel's cues and trying to understand his baby language better. I use to think he would start fussing because he getting bored with the scenery but once I started watching him none stop I started to notice the little yawns and 7 minute stares that are indications he is getting really tired! I always though yawns could mean tired but also that your body isn't getting enough oxygen. Well I guess with babies it always means they are tired. Samuel was yawning ALOT! So one of the books recommends when you notice those signs you get them ready for nap/bed and lay them down.

To make a long detailed story short (because I should be leaving to go babysit right now) Samuel is sleeping/napping ALOT more and is ALOT less fussy when he is awake because he is getting his naps in. Granted he definitely needs help falling to sleep sometimes and even though he fights sleeping REALLY well, I know he is grateful when he does fall asleep.
